A once in a lifetime adventure into the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the tallest coastal mountain range in the world. These lands are considered "The Heart of the Universe" by the Kogi Tribe, oldest Indigenous tribe in South America and you will see why as you experience the vibrant life all around you. You will be the first and only outsiders invited into their sacred lands as we make our way from lush jungle to snow capped mountains, to breathtaking caribbean beaches. 




We connect you with a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel like a local, learn about life from a new lens as you experience Colombia's rich culture from the inside out and give back with a direct service project to support the oldest Indigenous Tribe in the Americas. You will leave your cell phone behind and take place in centering activities such as yoga, surfing and waterfall rappelling all designed to bring you back to the present moment and allow you to tap into that flow state where everything just clicks.

Each day will be new, nourishing and engaging as you broaden your world view and deepen your connection with yourself. This allows you to return home to your daily life more empowered and fully refreshed. Day 1

Explore the coastal city of Santa Marta!

Private pick up from Santa Marta airport. Check into our Bed & Breakfast and enjoy some free time by the pool. Later, meet on the upstairs terrace for some light yoga & guided meditation as you watch the sunset over the Caribbean Sea . Conclude our evening as we get to know one another over a decadent dinner on the water. Get excited!

Day 2

Kogi Tribe Day! Adventure your way from coastal city to lush jungle. 

Begin our journey into the tallest coastal mountain range in the world, there are 15 separate ecosystems on this one mountain! Travel from city to the mountain village of Minca. From here you will hike your way up through tropical jungle to a lush waterfall for some rappelling. Continue on to stay at a local fruit farm for the evening. Here you will connect with the elusive Kogi Tribe, oldest Indigenous tribe in South America, and partake in an ancient ceremony to welcome us into these sacred mountains. You are the only people outside of the Tribe allowed this privilege.  Sunset yoga to the sounds of the jungle and rushing waterfall. Fall asleep in cozy casitas (little houses).

Day 3

Hike from jungle to the sacred mountains considered "The Heart of the Universe" to Indigenous Peoples.

Sunrise Yoga, then set out on a jungle hike through secret trails to Casa Elemento, home of the World's Largest Hammock, for lunch and relaxation. Continue our final ascent to the highest point of our journey, a local retreat center with incredible views. Above us are Pico San Cristóbal Colón and Pico Simón Bolívar; at 5700 meters (18,700ft) they are the tallest coastal mountains in the world. Partake in transformational breathwork as the sun sets on the Caribbean Sea below and Snow Capped Mountains rise above. Fall asleep in private huts nestled in the high jungle mountain ridge. 

Day 4

Connect with locals for a celebration of our final night in the mountains!

Sunrise yoga & meditation and then begin our way down the other side of the mountain. Enjoy hiking through secret trails and watching the ecosystems change around you as you make your way to the home of some inspirational French friends creating their dreams in the Colombian wilds. Explore the land or relax in hammocks as you listen to tropical birds and monkeys, then partake in a big family dinner and a multi cultural celebration for our final night in the mountains! 




Pack your bags as we journey from snow capped mountains to private caribbean beaches!

Sunrise meditation and farewell ceremony with our mountain friends, then embark on a small hike to visit a 100 year old coffee farm powered by glacial water from the snow peaks above. After some world class Colombian coffee, embark on an exciting moto tour through the mountains and rainforests back to the mountain town of Minca. Later, private transport will collect you for a one hour journey to our final destination, La Brisa Tranquilla, our accommodation at the Caribbean Sea. Savor a fresh seafood lunch on the beach, where surfboards await us for an afternoon of play. (Complimentary lessons available upon request.) End the day with a big family dinner and restorative yoga at sunset, then drift off to sleep to the sound of waves in private beach villas.

Day 6

Treat yourself in a tropical paradise!

Wake up to the waves, enjoy some light yoga & meditation then prepare to be pampered in Colombian fashion. Private motos with take you to a local resort on the sea for cacao scrubs, herbal baths, sauna and massage. All of the ingredients used on your body are local and natural. Later we celebrate our final night with a decadent dinner at a secret restaurant and starlit fire on the beach. 

Day 7

A day of sun, surf and fun to commemorate our adventure!

Awaken to the Caribe sunrise. Enjoy breakfast, yoga, and a meaningful closing circle to honor our tome together. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy the beach. Private transport to Santa Marta airport will collect you between 11:30am-1pm. (Option to stay longer after retreat ends, advanced reservations can be made through Mundo Adventures at no additional charge)
